Through the course of the program, as the story progressed, Abbie's four-year-old attention span began to manifest itself. The experience I'm writing about can be summarized best by just showing a photo: ![[Abbie With the Savior Coming in the Background.jpeg|400]] Tori and I requested multiple times that she put the purse full of hair products down or the toy phone and watch the climax of this story in [[The Book of Mormon]] with us as I narrated what was going on. The Lord cometh like a "thief in the night."[^1] How much easier is it to be distracted today in this technological world we live in than it was 2000 years ago? There has been a definite uptick in this message from the [[General Conference]] pulpit over the last 5 years or so.
