### Review / Notes
Excellent summary I used compiling my notes on the book: https://medium.com/@iantien/top-takeaways-from-andy-grove-s-high-output-management-2e0ecfb1ea63
#### Leading Indicators
Grove describes an organization's operations like a "black box" that you can't see inside. He encourages us to "cut holes" in the box to sample output using measurable leading indicators of organizational output. These Leading Indicators help you sample the box by showing you in advance what the final output might look like. Because "they give you time to take corrective action they make it possible for you to avoid problems."

### Book Quotes
"For [[High Output Management -- Andrew S. Grove (1983)#Leading Indicators|Leading Indicators]] to do you any good, you must believe in their validity. While this might seem obvious, in practice, confidence is not as easy to come by as it sounds."
